Founded in 1990, Detroit Regional Dollars for Scholars is Southeast Michigan’s leading private nonprofit scholarship program providing students with the knowledge, resources, and experiences to help get them to the next level.

The organization is highly engaged in student participants’ lives for three years leading up to high school graduation using a holistic approach with every student to ensure that the dollars invested have the greatest possible impact. Programming includes SAT test preparation, etiquette training, FAFSA completion workshops, campus visits, and more! There is no cost to participating students or school districts.

By breaking down barriers and unlocking opportunities, Dollars for Scholars is helping students achieve post-secondary success, and making a long-term investment in the future of Southeast Michigan communities.

Detroit Regional Dollars for Scholars’ vision is to partner with 25 high schools in 5 counties across Southeast Michigan by 2025 – annually graduating and awarding 250 student participants with $1 Million in scholarships.
